In light of the results obtained during the past four years, the many partnerships set up and different experiences, we confirm that the International “Water and Film” Events are a combination of activities which, through images, audiovisual works and other forms of artistic expression bring together people from  the worlds of film, water management and the general public.
The IWFE are proving to be a cross-cutting tool that appeals to our imaginations, emotions and creativity and the effects of which spin off to reveal more appropriate solutions for water management and use.

RIEC Objectives are to:

• Give the floor to local water management stakeholders, water users and the general public.
• Organise, based on images, in the context of international events, cross-sector debates among partners.
• Organise in relation with the themes of the next World Water Forum in 2012 a film competition.
• Highlight the production of film tools that present personal experiences, are educational or scientific.
• Carry out awareness-raising campaigns targeting various audiences: elected officials, consumers, decision-  makers, managers, youth, financial partners etc.
• Highlight and integrate the cultural capital of the general population in water management.
