The festival shows films produced by major documentary directors and hosts debates and moments for discussion. Our audience was able to meet directors such as Oscar winner Nikita Michalkov, Fernando Solanas, Julian Temple and public figures such as writers Arundhati Roy and Joel Bakan.

The International Water and Film Festival of Verviers is preparing its third edition and second year of competition.

The Festival VidéEau invites young people aged from 17 to 30, to submit 90 second or shorter video clips on the theme "Water, People and Sustainable Development". The winners of the competition were announced at a prize-giving ceremony held during the World Youth Congress, which took place in Quebec, Canada, from 10 to 21 August 2008.
