Right under our nose

Roger Emanuel Lourenso
Brazil (2008)  90 sec
English
Right under our noses is a video that shows us what is happening with our fresh-water resources such as the rivers, lakes and water tables. Less than 1% of the water in the world is available for human consumption; and it comes especially from the rain that falls in the ground and permeates through the porous soil to join subterranean water tables, so flows out of the ground the springs that feed rivers and lakes. Unfortunately, we are blocking this water passage through the soil, destroying the water-tables, and because of this, the springs go dry and so the rivers and lakes too. This video shows a simple solution to keep our water-tables wet; and this solution is right under our noses.
