We proposed, in the context of the International "Water and Film" Events, and for the first time within a World
Water Forum, to hold a high-level round table event on the theme of "Water, Film and Cultural Diversity", with the participation of well-known figures from the world of cinema, culture or water.

During this Forum, the French Water Academy, which has long been working on the ties between water and culture, was officially asked by the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to organise a major "cultural event" on behalf of France, to take place on World Water Day 2006, the theme of which was culture.
