Welcome to the 1st International “Water and Film” Events.

On behalf of the organisers, it is an honour for me to be able to invite you to the screenings of the selected films. For this 1st edition of the IWFE, we invite you to reflect on and discuss this fundamental life resource: water.
It is only in the context of cultural diversity and by being open to different viewpoints that we are able to reach conclusions that can be translated into actions to preserve this shared resource: local actions for a global challenge. I would like, in particular, to mention the support of the Secretariat of the 4th World Water Forum, the International Secretariat for Water, the French Water Academy and the Cineteca Nacional. Without them, this event would not have been possible. A big thank you to the members of the steering committee, to Robert Kalman, Linda Lilienfeld and Daniel Zimmerman.
