Are you aged between 17 and 30? Are you interested in water issues? Do you live in the Great Lakes and St Lawrence River basin? That is to say in the province of Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec or Ontario, or in the state of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota? The International Secretariat for Water (ISW) invites you to produce a video clip of one minute or less on the theme “My Water is Our Water!” Be Creative! You have the opportunity to create a clear, succinct message on your relationship with your local river or lake. It is the moment to propose solutions for the future of this shared resource and to raise awareness among your friends and family! How? It’s easy! Take your mobile phone, your video camera or create a cartoon and express yourself! The best three video clips will receive a prize. First Prize: $CAN1 500 A total of $CAN3 000 to be won! The “Great Lakes & St. Lawrence River Symphony” VidéEau competition is part of the International “Water and Film” Events (IWFE), which will be held in March 2012, during the 6th World Water Forum in Marseille (France). This local edition of the VidéEau Competition is organised in the context of the “Great Lakes & St. Lawrence River Symphony”, a project which aims to build a shared vision of the ideal living conditions for 2035 in the Great Lakes and St Lawrence River basin. Based on local resident’s experiences, this shared vision process will build and strengthen ties among those living in the basin. |
